Paul McCartney Archive Collection: Venus and Mars e At The Speed Of Sound

Continua la ripubblicazione dei vecchi album di Paul McCartney e dei suoi Wings che prevede, oltre alla remasterizzazione degli album stessi, alcune bonus track inedite, contenuti video altrettanto inediti, libri con foto d'epoca e gadget vari.
I prossimi album a subire questo trattamento sono Venus and Mars e At The Speed Of Sound, usciti a nome del gruppo capeggiato da McCartney, gli Wings, rispettivamente nel 1975 e 1976; entrambi usciranno il prossimo 22 Settembre con l'aggiunta di parecchio materiale bonus che ha già riscosso l'entusiasmo dei fan; gli album sono rimasterizzati ad Abbey Road dallo stesso team che ha rimasterizzato l'intero atalogo dei Beatles, e il tutto ha la supervisione di Paul in persona.

Vediamo nel dettaglio i formati e il contenuto; ognuno dei due album uscirà nei seguenti formati:

-edizione standard (2CD): il primo CD è l'album original rimasterizzato, mentre nel secondo ci sono bonus track quali demo e brani inediti

-edizione deluxe (2CD+1DVD+libro): i due CD sono uguali a quelli dell'edizione standard, mentre il DVD avrà materiale video filmato all'epoca della registrazione e uscita dell'album corrispondente, molto del quale inedito; inoltre, il libro di oltre 100 pagine conterrà foto inedite, nuove interviste a Paul, informazioni dettagliate sui singoli brani e materiale d'archivio come i facsimile dei testi originali scritti da Paul, di locandine e altro materiale promozionale; il tutto verrà racchiuso in un box rigido sullo stile delle precedenti edizioni deluxe

-LP: in vinile con copertina apribile e tessera con un codice per poter scaricare l'album in formato digitale

-digitale: si potranno scaricare le versioni standard e deluxe e nei formati "ottimizzato per iTunes" e in alta risoluzione.

Oasis: (What's The Story) Morning Glory? reissue with unreleased bonus tracks

After the re-release of their first album in May, Oasis will reissue their second album (What's The Story) Morning Glory? on 29th Semptember 2014.

The new edition has been remastered from the original tapes by Ian Cooper at London’s Metropolis Studios, supervised by the album’s original producer Owen Morris. A group of contributors including original members of the inner circle who were involved in studio and live recordings came together to hunt down unheard demos and live material. The team also unearthed a wealth of never-seen-before photos and vintage memorabilia which will be included in the new artwork.

Alongside the original album remastered, the Special Edition CD includes two CDs of all the B-sides plus rare and unreleased Oasis tracks from the Morning Glory era.
The limited edition box set comes packaged in a deluxe box with magnetic closure lid, and includes both the three CD set and vinyl edition of the album as well as a 56-pages hard backed coffee table book which includes extensive sleeve notes from music critic Neil McCormick.
Additional content includes a replica 12" promo (Cum On Feel The Noise/Lynch Mob Beats Remix), Exclusive 7" vinyl of Hello (demo) - She's Electric (demo), replica promo cassette plus exclusive merch.
Highlights of the bonus content include:
• Previously unheard demos of She’s Electric and Rockin’ Chair recorded at Mark Coyle’s Manchester studio.
• Demos of Some Might Say, Hey Now, and Bonehead's Bank Holiday recorded by Mark Coyle for the first time at the band’s soundcheck, Club Quattro in Tokyo in September 1994.
• Live recordings from legendary gigs such as Knebworth House, Maine Road Stadium, Earls Court and Bath Pavilion.
• All of the Morning Glory  B-sides.

The LP will also be available separately: it's manufactured on heavyweight vinyl and contains a high quality MP3 (320kbps) download code including all the bonus content featured on the Special Edition CD.
