35th Anniversary Edition of The Alan Parsons Project ‘The Turn of a Friendly Card’ with unreleased bonus tracks

The 35th Anniversary Deluxe edition of ‘The Turn of a Friendly Card’ by The Alan Parsons Project will be released on 6th November 2015. 
The 2CD package includes re-mastered original album (a brand new remaster, overseen by Alan Parsons), 17 previously unreleased bonus tracks (including Eric Woolfson’s songwriting diary home demos) plus 10 bonus tracks and new 20-page booklet with lyrics, notes on the making of the album and rare photos. Also available a limited edition vinyl 7” of three single edits.

John Miles: The Decca Singles 1975-79

Nuova raccolta di singoli per John Miles, cantautore e chitarrista inglese che ha avuto l'apice del successo negli anni 70, in particolar modo con l'album "Rebel" del 1976 che contiene la sua hit più famosa, "Music"; quest'ultimo brano, prodotto da Alan Parsons e orchestrato da Andrew Powell, è stato un successo mondiale che si considera di diritto tra gli evergreen del pop/rock di tutti i tempi (in Italia è conosciuto anche per il remix dance che ne ha fatto Fargetta negli anni 90). Gli album successivi hanno continuato a mantenere Miles alla ribalta (molto conosciuto e ballato in discoteca anche "Slow Down"), ma negli anni 90, dopo l'album rock-blues "Upfront", decide di abbandonare la carriera solista e dedicarsi ad altri progetti sempre nell'ambito musicale, tra cui scrivere musical, andare in tour con Tina Turner come chitarrista e cantante della sua band e soprattutto fare il direttore musicale della rassegna "The Night Of The Proms" (che si tiene annualmente in paesi centroeuropei), che unisce la musica pop/rock con la musica classica e vede ogni anno vari artisti vecchi e nuovi reinterpretare i loro classici accompagnati da orchestra e coro (e ovviamente anche John Miles, oltre a suonare chitarre e tastiere in accompagnamento agli altri artisti, si esibisce con suoi pezzi e cover).

Ecco quindi che a ricordarci il talento e la potente voce di questo artista oggi semi-dimenticato ci pensa la raccolta "Decca Singles 1975-79", in uscita il prossimo 13 Febbraio, che raccoglie oltre ai singoli del periodo in questione (usciti appunto con l'etichetta Decca) anche tutte le relative B-side (brani spesso non presenti nell'album corrispondente); da un lato (il lato A, appunto) è un greatest hits, dall'altro l'occasione di riscoprire o scoprire per la prima volta brani poco conosciuti ma ugualmente validi. E ovviamente non manca Music.
